The Delta Mu Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota was chartered at Temple University on December 8, 1964. We are a member of region VIII and province Chi A, and we are located in Philadelphia, PA. In 2014, we celebrated our 50th anniversary. We consist of a mixture of music and non-music majors, united by our shared love of music. We celebrate music together by performing for each other and practicing our musicianship. This is a truly unique part of our sisterhood; together, we grow not only as sisters, but as musicians.

Chapter History
On December 8, 1964 the Delta Mu chapter was established and eighteen students, one faculty member, and a patroness member had been initiated. Thus marking the beginning of a long journey for these women and for many others to come. From 1975 to 1981 marked a span of inactivity at Temple University we were later reinstalled, in 1986. During this year the chapter faced difficulties with the faculty of Temple University on strike, forcing fraternity business to be conducted off campus, at member homes. Even in the face of adversity, the sisters persevered, continuing on in the spirit of Sigma Alpha Iota and supporting one another in our cherished sisterhood.
